Booya AI Design Swarm
The Challenge
We're entering a new era of product design where the traditional designer-to-developer handoff is becoming obsolete. The real bottleneck isn't creativity or strategy anymore—it's execution at scale. A single designer can conceive brilliant solutions, but implementing them across multiple mediums (code, design files, component libraries) requires a team. What if that team could work 24/7 without fatigue?
The Solution
Booya is a team of AI design swarm agents running on Claude Opus 4.7. I architected and designed this system to humanize AI agents while maximizing their productivity. Each agent is visualized at their desk—working, thinking, collaborating. They sip coffee between tasks, stretch when they've been coding for too long, and maintain a rhythm that feels human despite running 24/7.
The agents work together as a coordinated team. Some specialize in UX architecture, others in component design, others in code generation. They have direct integration with Figma and code repositories, meaning designs flow seamlessly into implementation. No manual handoff. No translation loss. Pure execution.
My Role: Product Architect & Designer
I didn't just design Booya—I architected how AI agents should behave in a product context. This required thinking through:
- Agent Personalities & Autonomy: Defining how individual agents make decisions, collaborate, and escalate issues while maintaining a consistent voice.
- Human-Centered Visualization: Rather than abstract agent dashboards, I designed agents as humanized characters—working at desks, showing real-time thinking, expressing effort through visual metaphors.
- Workflow Architecture: Structuring how agents hand off work, validate each other's outputs, and maintain quality standards without human bottlenecks.
- Design-to-Implementation Bridge: Creating the technical architecture that lets Figma designs become production code—and code become design documentation.
- Pace & Rhythm: Even though agents work 24/7, I designed natural rhythms (coffee breaks, stretch moments) that make their work feel purposeful, not frantic.
The Outcome
Booya represents a fundamental shift in how product design can be organized. A single designer—with a well-architected AI swarm—can now:
- Architect complex product systems that would require a team of 3-5 designers
- Generate multiple design variations and let agents validate which ones meet criteria
- Have designs exported to production-ready code automatically
- Maintain design documentation in Figma in real-time as code changes
- Work asynchronously—brief the agents in the morning, review outputs in the evening
This isn't about replacing designers with AI. It's about extending what one great designer can accomplish by orchestrating a team of specialized AI agents that never sleep, never get tired, and execute with mechanical precision.
